2010 Tallmadge XC Race Schedule

Congratulations to freshman Patrick Ferguson who clocked an impressive time of 18 minutes, 25 seconds in his first high school race.  Ferguson finished 32nd out of 207 runners and was the 4th overall freshman to cross the line.  Whats even more impressive is he did this with only one shoe, losing his other mid-way through the first mile. 

The guys were challenged to have the top 5 under 20 minutes and far succeeded coach's expectation.  Michael Kenny (19:04) Alex LeVan (19:08) Ben Hussing (19:20) Nick Cwikla (19:26) James Milone (19:33) Derek Sigman (19:48).  I was very impressed with how well these young guys ran.  Out of this group, only 1 has some varsity experience.  Coming into the meet, the top 7 positions were a toss-up which makes it that much more exciting.  If I had to tell you what order our guys would finish, I probably would'nt have guessed any right.  We have a group of young guys with the same ability, I bet we have a different order every week.  This will ultimately make for a very competitive atmosphere which will make the program that much stronger.  I can't wait to spend the next 3-4 years with this group, it will be exciting.
